Error diagnostics for exam preparation

We build platforms that show why you got it wrong.

Not just the correct answer. The reason behind the mistake.

Most exam preparation platforms show students whether their answer is right or wrong. We go further: we identify the specific reasoning mistake behind each wrong answer and correct it before exam day.

The gap in exam preparation

Every student makes mistakes. The question is whether anyone helps them understand why.

Most platforms
"Incorrect. The answer is B."
edtrainit products
"You chose A because you reversed two concepts. Here is where your reasoning breaks — and how to correct it."

Wrong-answer-specific feedback is still uncommon in exam preparation. Our products are built around that gap.

Error-specific feedback
Every wrong option has its own explanation — written for the specific mistake behind that choice. Not a generic correction. A precise one.
Correction verification
After each explanation, we check whether the correction has been understood. If not, a different approach is tried. We do not move on until the mistake is addressed.
Mistake pattern tracking
See which subjects and topics need attention. Watch mistake patterns reduce over time as corrections take hold.
Built on learning science
Designed using feedback specificity, misconception correction, and error-engagement research from UK higher education practice.
Subject expert content
All feedback written by qualified subject experts with direct experience of the relevant examinations. Not AI-generated. Not crowdsourced.
Exam-specific design
Each product is built for its specific exam — not a generic tool adapted to multiple tests. The content, format, and feedback are tailored to each exam’s structure and demands.

Our products

Error diagnostics platforms built for specific examinations. Each product is designed for its exam, not adapted from a generic template.

Study medicine in Italy in English

The IMAT is the entrance exam for English-taught medical degrees at public universities in Italy. Tuition at public universities can be significantly lower than many private medical education alternatives. Our first product, medtrainit, is built specifically for IMAT preparation.

What is the IMAT?

The International Medical Admissions Test is a 100-minute exam with 60 multiple-choice questions covering biology (23), chemistry (15), physics and mathematics (13), logical reasoning (5), and general knowledge and reading (4). Scoring: +1.5 correct, −0.4 wrong, 0 unanswered. Administered under the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) system.

Cost comparison

Public university tuition in Italy can range from approximately €150 to €4,000 per year, depending on university, student status, and income assessment. This compares favourably with private medical education alternatives in many countries. All costs are approximate and vary by institution and year.

Career pathways

An Italian medical degree is EU-recognised. Graduates may pursue registration in Italy, Germany (automatic EU diploma recognition route, subject to language requirements), UK (GMC REQ route, subject to current regulations), Ireland, Switzerland, and across the EU/EEA. All pathways subject to national registration requirements.

Universities

In 2025, approximately 15 public Italian universities offered English-taught medicine programmes through the IMAT, with approximately 952 EU and 530 non-EU seats available. Universities include Bologna, Milan, Padua, Turin, Rome (Sapienza), Parma, Messina, Naples, and others. Seat numbers subject to annual MUR confirmation.
